A Goal 2 (development and innovation) study of the EPIC approach is being conducted from June 2013 – May 2016. The study involves three phases. In the first phase, development of each part of the EPIC approach occurs, including review by parents and caregivers, early intervention service providers, and individuals involved in professional development of the materials and resources to support implementation of coaching and 5Q. In the second phase, parents or other caregivers, and early intervention providers try-out the EPIC approach. They provide feedback about its acceptability, feasibility, and usefulness. In the third phase, a small-scale evaluation of the EPIC approach occurs by comparing parent and child outcomes when the EPIC approach is used versus when traditional approaches to early intervention are used.

Progress and other information related to the Goal 2 study can be found in the Progress and Presentations section of the web site.
