Dr. Friedman's Bio
Dr. Friedman is a research associate at the Communication and Early Childhood Research and Practice Center at the Florida State University. She completed her PhD at FSU in the School of Communication Science and Disorders where she teaches distance learning courses.
She has eight year’s experience serving families in family guided routines based interventions (FGRBI). She served as the project coordinator on the Kidtalk-Tactics Model Demonstration Project, which blended enhanced milieu teaching with FGRBI. Her research interests include defining and measuring coaching strategies to support caregiver strategy use, coaching models to support caregivers in low-income child care settings, early communication development in children with severe disabilities, and professional development for early intervention service providers.
